Event Description: Join us on a special curated walk across the massive, important but yet-in-ruins Tughlaqabad Fort, one of the many cities of Delhi and explore the life and times of 13th-14th century medieval India, in particular the Delhi Sultanate and cities of Delhi.
Over the duration of 2 hours, we will not only explore the sprawling fort and the beautiful tomb built by the master builders of Delhi - the Tughlaqs but also hear stories of curses, wars, the first de-monetisation of India, shifting and re-naming of cities and palace politics. The walk will end with a small improvised theatrical performance by our walk leader Parthajeet (a self-confessed lover of Delhi, who works as a Director at a not-for-profit foundation) as the maverick monarch Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq!
