Leopards and Shepherds of Jawai is a book about the incredible relationship between man and predator in the surreal landscapes of the Jawai- Bera region in Rajasthan.
SHATRUNJAY PRATAP SINGH
Shatrunjay Pratap Singh runs a lodge called Bera Safari Lodge in Bera district of Rajasthan, India. Shatrunjay left a flourishing corporate career in winemaking and chose his passion for wildlife to start this lodge and ever since he has been a custodian of leopards of this region. His critical contribution to this landscape was his initiatives to stop mining in this region because of which the leopards of Bera continue to thrive and flourish. His sound knowledge of this landscape makes him one of the leading location managers for Jawai and Bera as he works closely with top-notch global photographers and filmmakers and has been a part of filming crews including National Geographic and Animal Planet.
SHIVANG MEHTA
Best selling author of ‘A Decade with Tigers' and Author of 'Chasing Horizons: Learnings from Africa' and International Award-winning wildlife photographer, Shivang Mehta has donned many hats in his long career journey, including that of a Journalist and a PR Professional. His love for wildlife and nature led him to begin his on-field career in the Sal forests of Kumaon 15 years ago. Shivang is the managing director of Nature Wanderers, India’s premier wildlife photo tour organisation, which he started with his wife, Kahini Ghosh Mehta. Having conducted over 1000 wildlife photography workshops and tours, along with many unique wildlife events and mentoring over a thousand amateur and professional wildlife photographers, Shivang specialises in photographing rare species and camera trap technology. The author is also a Canon Photo Mentor, a Columbia Athlete and has been published in numerous national and international publications.
