Sunit Tandon introduces the highly-acclaimed production by Jonathan Miller of Verdi’s masterpiece, relocating the action to New York's mafia-controlled Little Italy in the 1950's. Rigoletto, a clowning bartender, keeps his beloved daughter, Gilda, well away from the mob he works for, but is cursed when he angers Don Monterone. A fatal chain of events is set in motion, as Gilda meets the philandering mafia boss (Duke), leading to a tragic conclusion..
