Event Description : WORKSHOP "Demystifying Dyslexia and Interventions for Young Children in Classroom"

Conducted by Rama Tandon, senior Dyslexia Therapist at Vasant Valley School, Delhi

Identifying Dyslexia is challenging. Teachers mostly do not understand what dyslexia is and how to identify it correctly eliminating any other impairment/disability which students may/may not have. Early intervention is critical for struggling student. Participants will be taught how to make an informal assessment of reading, handwriting and spelling issues (through a case-study example). Teaching and reinforcing sound/symbol knowledge should be fun and engaging while supporting students to learn in multi-sensory, structured, language environment.
