In 1917, Gandhi had arrived at Motihari to protest against the exploitation faced by the Indigo farmers. Here, he launched the first Satyagraha movement on Indian soil. But Motihari is not only the birthplace of Gandhi's Satyagraha. Fourteen years prior to his arrival, George Orwell, author of ‘Animal Farm’ and ’1984’, was born there. The film not only depicts the condition of the newly renovated house of the "millennium writer", but also shows the social attitudes in relation with Gandhi and Orwell.
