Event Description : Toxics Link is pleased to invite you to a Public Lecture on ‘Is the climate changing?’ 

The objective of the Public Lecture on climate change is to discuss the imminent threat to our planet and to raise awareness amongst the public about the looming danger we are all facing. It will also try to examine the existing policies, initiatives in dealing with climate change and the way forward. The Lecture shall look at solutions to combat the problem through civic engagement and the initiatives needed with regard to the issue too.

The speakers are:

1.Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra,Scientist,India Meteorological Department

2.Dr. AL. Ramanathan,Professor,School of Environmental Sciences,Jawaharlal Nehru University,

3.Dr Shresth Tayal, Area Convenor, Centre for Himalayan Ecology, TERI 

4.Col HS Chauhan (Retd),President, Indian Mountaineering Foundation

The session will be moderated by Mr. Satish Sinha (Associate Director, Toxics Link)

It lays a special emphasis on reaching out to numerous grassroots groups; community based organizations and the public at large through its empirical study-based information on environmental issues.
