Event Description : MUSIC FILM : Opera at Habitat Series. Bizet’s "The Pearl Fishers" French with English subtitles.

Sunit Tandon introduces a live recording of The Neemrana Music Foundation’s lauded production of Bizet’s classic set in ancient Ceylon, a colourful and tuneful opera about love, rivalry and friendship that includes the hugely popular tenor-baritone duet “Au fond du temple saint”.  Soprano Aude Priya Engel, who stars in this production, will be present.

This screening coincides with an exhibition of designs and costumes for operas set in the Orient being held at the Italian Embassy Cultural Centre from 14th March to 15th April.
