Event Description : Shanker Art Foundation extends its gratitude to its participants for valuable contribution of beautiful photographs. The overwhelming response has given us great encouragement in the field of PHOTOGRAPHY and love for Bharat Ke Rang-Festivals of India !
With the introduction of digital cameras and cell phones, the photography form of art has become very popular not only with the professional photographers; but also with the people from various occupations. Indeed, it is passion for the photographers to shoot subjects of their liking just to have aesthetic pleasure and documentation.
The present exhibition titled as 'Bharat Ke Rang-Festivals of India' is a collection of photographers. The homemakers, office goers, businesspersons, women, students who took photography as hobby were invited to participate in this exhibition. All together 35 photographers’ works are selected and showcased in this exhibition.
The Shivratri Festival, Kodungallur Bharani, Raja Rani Music Festival, Pongal, Holi, Spituk Festival are the subjects of these photographs.
Some of the awarded photographs are the clicks of Shivratri Festival by Birbal Sharma from Mandi, Jejuri Turmeric Festival by Sampa Guha Majundar from Jamnagar, Kodungallur Bharani by Ashok Swaroop Kallada from Kochi and Holi by Satabdi Pal from Gurugram, Tarender Pal Vaidya from Solan, Manisha Jagdish Bhoj from Bhubaneswar captured the mood of Raja Rani Music Festival, Students of MRIS Charmwood, Faridabad also participated and won awards
