Event Description : "Colours of National Symbols 2018" An Exhibition of 300 Selected Artworks from the 7th All India Children Art Contest by Shanker Art Foundation
The exhibition is an off-shoot of painting competition, which was organized from July 1-31, 2018 and received participation from above 1600 students from nearing 260 schools and hobby centres spread across pan India. The artworks were then methodically and comprehensively reviewed and judged by a jury of 7 members comprising of acclaimed artists, art teachers and critics. They, with their unbiased approach, selected the best young artists and unanimously believe that every participant is a winner by participating in such a platform.
“Children must be thought how to think, not what to think” the famous saying was reinforced and reiterated by Kishore Shanker, celebrated artist and founder of Shanker Art Foundation. He stated, “The sole objective of organizing the competition and exhibition is to provide children with the platform to explore their creative talent and exhibit their concerns, thoughts and stories, which otherwise remain constrained to their individual schools and their notice boards”. He added, “The theme ‘Colours of National Symbol’ promotes the national integration as at this tender age building love for nation and feeling of patriotism is very much needed”.
The winners of the competition from seven segregated groups are tabled in the category of Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, Commended Award and lastly Appreciation Award. These 346 winners will be felicitated with mementos, medals or certificates depending upon the award they have won and which will reach them through the post.
