Event Description : DANCE : Debadhara Academy presents 11th Guru Debaprasad Nrutya Parampara - A two-day festival of Indian Classical dance dedicated to Late Guru Debaprasad Das. 

Schedule : 

30th August : Odissi dance Performance by Debadhara Group; Followed by an Odissi dance Performance by Ratikant Mohapatra & Rajashri Praharaj. The evening concludes with a Kuchipudi dance performance by Raja Radha Reddy, Yamini Reddy and Bhavana Reddy. 

31st August : Odissi dance Performance by Gajendra Panda & disciples; Followed by Bharatanatyam performance by Saroja Vaidyanathan & disciples; The evening concludes with a Kathak dance performance by Birju Maharaj & disciples.

About Guruji (Late Guru Debaprasad Das) : Guru Deba Prasad Das, is considered by many as one of the four first generation gurus of the Indian classical dance form of Odissi. He was a recipient of the 2009 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. and 1974 Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. He was the youngest of the Trinity of Odissi gurus, the others being Guru Pankaj Charan Das and Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra. Together they helped in reviving Odissi, which was on the verge of extinction when India became independent.

Debadhara - Delhi, dedicated to the memory of the great guru is well established in Delhi under the able leadership of Guru Binayak Panda.

About Debadhara : Debadhara is a pioneering institution of odissi dance which upholds the unique style of Late Guru Debaprasad Das and promotes a synthetic gharana imbibing essence from the tribal, folk and classical dance forms of odisha. The aim of this institution is to impart training in odissi dance and to promote the ancient arts of this country at global stage.

Every year, Debadhara organizes cultural festivals of Indian dance and music to bring together the diverse cultural art forms at one platform. These festivals are attended by numerous dignitaries and are covered by national media. Debadhara was founded in the year 2003 by Guru Binayak Panda.
