Event Description : LILA Foundation for Translocal Initiatives invites you to a LILA Terra-Sutra Conversation in honour of Priya Ravish Mehra, Towards an Unperfect Swaraj: Life and Art of Priya Ravish Mehra

Priya Ravish Mehra (1961-2018) was a researcher, designer and textile artist based in New Delhi.
Battling cancer for the last thirteen years, her life and art evolved organically into a variegated thread, presenting profound insights into the governance of imperfections, and issues concerning the philosophy and practice of conservation and preservation.
Recognising one of the most relevant artists and thinkers of our time, LILA Foundation for Translocal Initiatives looks at the insights presented by Priya through an Insider-Outsider conversation among three experts:
- Amba Sanyal, Theatre artist and costume designer, will discuss the 'body-
nature-art' connection in Priya's work.
- Smriti Vohra, the editor of Priya's book on Rafoogari, will speak of Priya's Rafoogari research and her concerns about repairing and healing.
- EP Unny, Cartoonist, will speak of how Priya's work moves any viewer toward a 'Unperfect Swaraj', which respects plurality and inclusiveness.
