How Free is Free Speech in India

Freedom of Speech is constitutionally guaranteed under Article 19(1) (a) of the Constitution of India. It protects the right of individuals to express their opinions without fear of state reprisal, however it is not unfettered. The discussion will focus on the critical inquiry of the nature, scope, and limits of free speech in India’s constitutional framework.
