A friendship walks the distance between life and death in this film. Loved ones pour in worldwide to raise one last toast with Chika Kapadia. In the coming week, he has an appointment at Dignitas in Switzerland for physician-assisted suicide; he chose not to be tied to tubes and wires in his last moments. A filmmaker friend, Shonali Bose, tasked by Chika to shoot his countdown to death, records her own complicated feelings in taking on this responsibility and weaves a tale of dignity in death through the lens of friendship.
