Event Description: Dastangoi Collective in collaboration with Bhagyam Arts & Ideas present 'Dastan-E-Nehru' Hindi Play. 

दास्तानगोई, नाम है उस फन का जो 1000 साल पुराना  है| इसमें आमिर हमज़ा के कारनामों की मबनी दास्तानें है| 19वीं सदी में , उर्दू अदब में यह फन अपनी इन्तेहा को पहुँचा। यह फ़न उस वक़्त मद्धम पड़ गया जब मीर बाक़र अली, इसके आख़िरी मारूफ़ उस्ताद, 1928 में इन्तिक़ाल कर गए। मारूफ़ उर्दू स्कॉलर एस.आर. फ़ारूक़ी और महमूद फ़ारूक़ी ने इसे दोबारा आज के दौर के लिए ज़िंदा किया और नए अंदाज़ में पेश किया है। दास्तान-ए-नेहरू एक कोशिश है के उस शख़्सियत के नजरियात और असरार का परचा करे जिस की सोच और ज़िद-ओ-मज़ाहमत ने एक क़ौम की तक़दीर को शक्ल दी। ये एक खोज है नेहरू के इरादे, उनका पुर-आशोब दौर और हिंदुस्तान के दिल-ओ-जान पर उनके गहरे असरात को समझने की।

Dastangoi, an art of storytelling around Amir Hamza's heroic adventures, flourished in Urdu literature, peaking in 19th-century North India. It waned after Mir Baqar Ali, the last known master, passed in 1928. Noted Urdu scholar S.R. Faruqi and Mahmood Farooqui have since revived and reimagined it for today’s audiences. Dastan-e-Nehru seeks to unravel the myth and enigma of a man whose ideals and contradictions shaped a nation’s fate. It attempts to discover Nehru, explore his turbulent era, and the deep, lasting imprint he left on Hindustan’s soul.
