Event Description: Screening of the restored 4K copy of La Notte / The Night (Italian / 1961 / 122 mins) 

A husband and wife in 1960s Milan are isolated from each other and displaced in the modern world in Michelangelo Antonioni\'s tale of love and space.

Director: Michelangelo Antonioni. 

The screening marks the inauguration of Marcelli Mastroianni’s birth centenary celebrations. Renowned and award-winning Italian actress Maria Rosaria Forte (Iaia Forte) will also be present at the event and read out the letter that concludes the film. 

Collaboration: Italian Embassy Cultural Centre.

Winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival 1961.

Winner of the David di Donatello Award for Best Director.
