Dance-Recitation-Natya

Bulbul-e-Hind is a presentation in recitation, dance and natya of a selection of works by the iconic Freedom Fighter and poetess Sarojini Naidu. Taking the cue from her poems which are steeped in the syncretic Dakkhani culture of Golconda and Hyderabad, the production includes sets inspired by Deccan Miniature Art, Calligraphy and an exhibit of copies of rarely seen miniatures from the age of the Deccan Sultanates. 

Bulbul-e-Hind is the third show in the ReflectSerieS, a year-long programme of thought-provoking performances planned by Bhagyam Arts & Ideas. The ReflectSerieS was launched in September 2024 to a packed audience with the exuberant dance drama "Gandhi Leela" on the life and ideas of the Mahatma. The series will continue with monthly performances till Gandhi Jayanti next year.
