Event Description: Celebrating 97th Birth Anniversary of Shri Dharamvir Bharati, Kapoor Theatre Company presents Andha Yug, Hindi Play.

About The Play: "Andha Yug", written by Dharamvir Bharti, begins on the eighteenth & last day of Mahabharata War. It delves into the societal & moral dilemmas faced on the side of Kaurava clan where Ashwatthama, Dhritarashtra, Gandhari, Vidur & even the soldiers guarding the gates of Hastinapur, each have a varying perspective to the humongous war at Kurukshetra. The classic written in 1953, throws light upon the advent of an age which is today known as "Kalyug". 

About The Group: Initially named as "Backstage Theatre Team" in 2016, "Kapoor Theatre Company" kickstarted it's journey with a self written play "Kimon". Past seven years have seen us delving into different plays across a plethora of genres. We ultimately strive to tap into the forgotten classics & their writers which deserve to see the light on stage in today's fast moving age.

Director's Note: Every being encounters a certain aspect in life, without which one feels empty. To me, that is Theatre. With the blessings of Shiva, I intend to let every folk around get the sheer magic, peace and wonder of theatre as a medium of boundless expression.
