अमृता प्रीतम की कहानियाँ - Dramatized reading of Amrita Pritam Stories
This year 31st August marked the 104th birth anniversary of arguably one of the most relentless writers, and well, one of the strongest and outspoken, fiercely independent women the last century had seen in the Indian subcontinent!
Amrita Pritam was the first prominent women poet, novelist, essayist and short story writer of Punjabi language. With a career spanning over six decades, she penned over 100 books of poetry, fiction, biographies, essays, a collection of Punjabi folk songs and an autobiography that have been translated into several Indian and foreign languages. And well, apart from winning Sahitya Akademi, Bhartiya Jnanpith, Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan and Sahitya Akademi Fellowship, she won over hearts across the borders!
