Film on the life and work of Ferdinand Kittel (1853-1904) from Germany, who came to India as a missionary in southern India. Mastering the over 2000-year-old Kannada language, he became a renowned philologist, lexicographer and author. Facing the wrath of his superiors, this “failed missionary” went on to transcend the boundaries of religion, language and geography to herald a new beginning
