Event Description: SANSAD - The National Youth Parliament
Overview of SANSAD - The National Youth Parliament
Founded in 2017, SANSAD is the India’s biggest youth-driven parliamentary debate competition conducted annually as a two-day simulation exercise wherein various committees discuss and deliberate on their agendas, exchanging thoughts concerning major socio-political & economic issues.
Aims and Objectives
SANSAD endeavours to ensure that every voice gets a deserving platform. For the past few years, it has been working to inculcate oratory skills and raise awareness on socio-political issues and parliamentary procedures among the youth nation-wide, besides acquainting them with the processes involved in policy making.
Structure of SANSAD ‘23
SANSAD consists of four major committees - the Lok Sabha, the Rajya Sabha, the AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet) and UNGA (United Nations General Assembly). Discussions include exchange of thoughts concerning pre-eminent issues in the contemporary society. Delegates are offered a holistic opportunity to channelise their notions and express their transformative agendas, in the process gathering skill-sets deemed a requisite for the service of the nation in the future.
