Event Description: At the Gates of Talbosh by Tarab Khan, Artist & Author

The gates of Talbosh invite the viewers to a game of playful discoveries. In this world, the reality has been twisted and pulled, distorted and turned upside down. Talbosh is a whirling fabled world where life happens differently. The stories captured on the canvas have a feel of familiarity, yet evoke a sense of skewed alienation and this strangeness makes the compositions alluring.

Without a known originator, the stories seem to have seeded themselves and each story effortlessly segues into another with a promise of a slow escape.

The Artist is Interested in transforming different sensations onto the canvas and colours are used. as an exploratory tool. The Blue sky and the Illuminated nights lend a strong sense of dynamism through the juxtaposition of dark and vibrant strokes. The backdrops are lyrical and have a windswept appeal. The presence of mystical beings and symbols lend a keen allegorical reference that must be brought out. The endless narratives and the poetic romance in the Art are left up to the spectator to piece together.
