I Raccolta di Canterbury / The Tales of Canterbury

The film is based on the medieval narrative poem by Geoffrey Chaucer. The second film in Pasolini \'s ‘Trilogy of Life’, it won the ‘Golden Bear’ at the 22nd Berlin International Film Festival. Pasolini’s artistic, sometimes violent, always vividly cinematic retelling of some of Chaucer\'s more controversial tales.
Introduction of the film by Murtaza Ali Khan, award-winning Film & TV critic and journalist.
Background: Celebrating 100 years of Pier Paolo Pasolini - Italian poet, filmmaker, writer and intellectual who also distinguished himself as a journalist, novelist, translator, playwright, visual artist and actor.
