Event Description:
Sonata, English Play.

An age-old friendship. A bond of 20 years.  One evening and things erupt. The friendship is questioned. How many of us have experienced this in our lives, when best friends turn inimical?
Sonata is the story of one such evening dipped in golden memories and intoxication, which unwittingly exposes a deadly secret from the past.

Written in English by the famed Marathi playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar, who was inspired to write this piece on female bonding by three of his actress friends.

The play was made into a feature film by Aparna Sen in 2017, starring herself, Shabana Azmi and Lilette Dubey.

Danish Jaitly, the popular young pop star sings live on stage.

Cast - Sonali Sharma, Vani Vyas, Arti Nayar

Directed by Sohaila Kapur

Produced by TAC & Katyayani
