Event Description: IIC Spring Festival presents Bharatanatyam Recital by Tanya Saxena. 

Over the pandemic, Tanya has had the privilege of being mentored by Shri A. Lakshmanaswany. She will be presenting repertoire pieces choreographed by him. The performance is designed in the traditional ‘margam’ format beginning with a Pushpanjali, followed by a varnam, an abhinaya presentation and concluding with a tillana. These pieces are designed to showcase the skill of the dancer to the maximum - challenging the artist with complexity in nritta (pure dance) and abhinaya (expressional dance).
