Event Description: Kalantaran, Kathak Mahotsava
This dance festival aims to instil recognition, pride and confidence in the age-old tradition of ‘Guru-shishya pramapara’ and in return offer obeisance to the great Gurus classical dance & music. This festival would showcase performances of these Guru's foremost disciples and their lineages.
These artists and dancers have not only preserved the artistry, traditions, techniques, styles but also over the years passed it on further to the first, second and third generations of Kathak performers/artists. This festival aims to rejoice, showcase and orchestrate all these traditions and techniques of different branches of Kathak under one roof
