Truth makes fiction blush,
It shocks when seen closer up.
Truth makes heads burgeon and explode,
Sometimes it’s even hushed up.
Truth when read and heard,
Can be cushioned and couched,
Pillows of words that gather around,
Sometimes muffle its scream.
But when pictures speak,
Men and women see themselves as they are,
Resplendent in their naked glory,
Quavering behind their veiled shame.
Glimmering glistening perspiration
Seeps out of their pores,
Shimmering shivering tears
Flow from their eyes…
And this is why,
Stumbling, searching, rummaging,
Through your heart and mine,
TRUTH becomes ART.
TRUTH is a collection of 26 heart-stopping, heart-rending, and sometimes heart-warming oil paintings. The works on display exist in the twilight zone that lies between realistic rendering and abstract thought. These artworks pulsate with emotions filtered through the fine mesh of rational thought and reach within the hearts of their viewers to transform into reflections of their own experiences.
