Event Description: Alliance française de Delhi and the Public Service Broadcasting Trust are glad to invite you to the screening of And You Thought You Knew Me

This last year, issues around sexuality, rights as well as legalities of the LGBTQ+ community India have found their place in public debates, while section 777 decriminalization probably helped to unchain voices. However, queer identities and lesbianism seem to have received very little attention. The screening of 'And You Thought You Knew Me' aims to put a spotlight on queer identities and lesbianism at the individual scale this time, through human-beings who shared voices of personal journeys and daily challenges in Today's India.

Doc'N Talk is a series of events showcasing the best of Indian documentary films, followed by discussions with directors, researchers and young protagonists. We truly look forward to welcoming many of you for this first screening!

This event is organised in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth.

'RETHINKING the notion of the OTHER, the "sexual deviant"'

Directed by Pramada Menon.

Followed by a discussion with Prof. Leïla Choukroune, Amritananda Chakravorty and Dr.Sai Ramani Garimella.
