Event Description: THEATRE: Arts Unlimited presents 'Meera' and 'Sohbat' Hindi Plays.

6 pm: Meera - Myth has always been indifferent to history. They have a life of their own. The story of Meera bai is one such example of myth and history arguing with each other. Who was Meera bai? The story of a persecuted royal princess, the passion and the frustration of her warrior husband. A rebel against social convention and finally a soul that merges with Supreme.

7:30pm: Sohbat which means 'companionship or 'conversation', is the story of the encounter between the poet, philosopher Jalaluddin Rumi and an itinerant mystic Shams, who became Rumi's mentor. The bruising encounter between them led to 40 days of discourse and meditation, which changed Rumi forever. The man who emerged from behind those closed doors after 40 days, was not the husband she had known, according to Rumi's wife Gauhar.
