Event Description : Art Heritage presents Rohit Saha's "1528" photobook launch & the author in conversation with Tanvi Mishra

The Alkazi Foundation's Photobook Awardee (2017), Rohit Saha presents his graduation work that was based on Manipur from 2016-2018. Creating visibility around the 1528 individuals who lost their lives in extra-judicial killings between 1979-2012, this publication presents Rohit's personal telling of his experiences, a combination of documents and his own images around those who have survived or lived through the disappearances of their loved ones.

Rohit Saha (b. 1990) is a visual artist from Calcutta. He works with photography, illustration, and animation to narrate stories. Rohit did his Bachelor's in Multimedia with specialization in Animation from St Xavier's College, Calcutta and subsequently completed his Master's in Photography from the National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar. He was awarded the Magnum Foundation's Social Justice Fellowship in 2018.
