Event Description : TALK "Gandhara: A Confluence of Cultures" To mark the launch of the latest volume of MARG, a series of four lectures by Naman P. Ahuja

In these richly illustrated lectures, Prof. Ahuja will reveal a series of 30 objects and use them to tell us a story of the history of conflict and coexistence. Studying their design and technique tells us much more about trade, society and religion. How have the extraordinary new discoveries in museums across the world, new photographs of the treasures from Kabul, and objects now in private collections enhanced our understanding of the art of Gandhara?

Naman P. Ahuja is a curator of Indian art, Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Co-Editor, Marg Publications
