Event Description : ‘An evening in praise to the Almighty’ with Kathak performances choreographed by Anindita Acharjee.
Anindita organises her annual performance every year with the students training under her. This year’s annual show is about, ‘An evening in praise to the Almighty’ which is not only prayer to the God or Goddess but the Energy that surrounds us and we bow to that.. will depict prayer to Shiva, Ganesha, Krishna, Vishnu as creator of Nature, Saraswati, surya God, and to Khuda aswel.
About Anindita Acharjee : She is a professional kathak dancer and has been teaching many students for the past 15 years. She has been trained under Ms. Aditi Mangaldas and is one of the senior repertory member at Drishtikon Dance Foundation- The Aditi Mangaldas Dance company. She has also been under the tutelage of Guru Pt. Jaikishan Maharaj. She has performed all over the world like USA, UK, and many parts of Europe and Asia, with her Gurus aswel as given solos. She is an empanelled artist with the ICCR(Indian Council for Cultural Relations)..she is also a recipient of the ‘Shringarmani’ title from the Govt. of Maharashtra.
