Event Description : ART EXHIBITION "The Hungarian National Assembly"
An exhibition on the House of the Nations, the Hungarian Parliament considered one of the most beautiful parliament buildings in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the imposing edifice was built in a neo-gothic style over a period of 17 years (1885-1902) based on the plans of Imre Steindl. With the expressed intention of constructing the building out of Hungarian materials featuring the work of local craftsmen and manufacturers, with the vegetation of the Carpathian Basin appearing in its ornamentation and the art in the building invoking significant events from Hungarian history
