At a time when the idea of democracy is under threat, this is a film that celebrates democracy for its ambition and the engagement and the excitement it generates, while also recognizing it’s many challenges. Drawing upon unique footage from hundreds of conversations with would be voters and local leaders in the towns and villages of North India, it emphasizes the humour, the passion and intellectual depth that participants brings into their decisions.
