Event Description : "Pentatonic Scales in Hindustani Music" Illustrated lecture by Dr. Subhadra Desai, well-known Hindustani classical vocalist. As a musician-academic, she has been engaged in performing, conducting lecture-demonstrations and workshops in India and abroad and has done extensive research on ancient Indian music

At the lecture, Dr. Desai will talk about Pentatonic scales in Hindustani music (Ragas of Audav Jati) and explain their typical nuances through live demonstrations and audio recordings
