Event Description : ART EXHIBITION "Lightning in the Greys" Solo Show of paintings by Anupama Chatterjee Hara

This series of abstract artworks was inspired by the poignant  memory of an incoming monsoon storm. A moment captured on a long distance train journey to East India. The series chooses a certain level of randomness and textural mark making because of the wildness of the inspirational memory. Similarly, most times, colour seemed to dilute the power and potency that the artist wanted to evoke as she re-experienced the memory through the creative process. 

About the Artist : Anupama Chatterjee Hara is an artist and has also been an animator in the broadcast industry. She has studied at National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, specialising in traditional animation. Her works have been selected for the 89th Annual All India Art Exhibition, AIFACS, New Delhi, "The Collective" in Chandigarh, "Surface 01 and 02" in ArtBuzz Studios, New Delhi, and many others.
