Event Description : HERITAGE WALK in the Qutub Complex
Description of Activities
The walk shall begin at the entrance of the Qutub Complex located in one of the oldest parts of Delhi-Mehrauli. The group shall explore the stories related to all the important spots within the Qutub complex. Activities like games and quizzes and visual aids like maps, images etc. will form part of the experience. Anecdotes on aspects related to the monument like the geography, flora & fauna, culture, food and traditions will also be included. The winter mornings are pleasant for the walk and participants can carry water and be in comfortable footwear.
Places to be seen
We shall be visiting all the monuments within the Qutub Complex, including the Qutub Minar, Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque, Alai Darwaza, Alai Minar, tomb of Iltutmish, Smith's Folly etc. Each stop shall have a discussion based engagement with activities at regular intervals. The walk shall be able to allow its participants a brief break of about ten minutes to stretch and relax.

About the Speaker : Aparajita Balasubramanian teachers History at The Heritage School, Rohini-Delhi from the last 7 years. She have been undertaking walks across the city for my students and adults all these years. The walks include visual aids like maps, images and activities which help the participants to visualize the monuments better and connect them to the anecdotes and stories.
