Event Description : TALK by Prof. Sudhir Chandra, Historian and Author Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
Events of the recent past in our country and the violent sectarian politics unleashed by them have revived the memory of Gandhi, and of his ethical concepts and moral universe. These developments are clearly a betrayal of the values that formed the basis of the national movement — values that Gandhi had struggled to consolidate into a moral political force. It is to reinforce and celebrate those values that SAHMAT is organising this lecture series.
