About Third Space Collective:
Third Space Collective is a group of theatre practitioners and educators who aim to create contemporary and experimental work in and about the times that we live in. The last 4 years have seen the Collective produce a series of productions and create solid groundwork to take theatre to the communities that make up the city.
About the Festival:
Of Stage Theatre Festival is an annual college level Stage Theatre Festival, organised by Third Space Collective, in partnership with Instituto Cervantes, Nueva Delhi and the Embassy Of Spain. As part of the festival, a call for application was sent out to over 70 colleges of Delhi and NCR by Third Space Collective and after conducting two rounds of extensive selection processes, 3 colleges were finalized to perform at the Of Stage Theatre Festival 2018. A collaboration with eminent Spanish Playwright, Theatre Director & Actress Paloma Pedrero happened and the three final colleges were given scripts written by Paloma to make productions out of and premier them at the festival.
Of Stage Theatre Festival was curated in response to the environment available to artists in today’s India, which is consistently becoming restricted- be it in the kind of resources available to practitioners or the space for exploration of newer ideas. It is not surprising to see young theatre makers, especially in the university theatre societies finding it extremely difficult to create their individual artistic voice. The lack of support from the college administrations and the unavailability of professional guidance are increasingly visible in the performances that are being produced by them. The dearth of scripts available to them and lack of access to alternate global narratives has also made the scope of their explorations limited.
OF, STAGE is an attempt towards collaborating with various institutions and other stake holders to create a fresh cultural ecosystem that will provide young practitioners the best resources and mentorship needed to create work of the highest artistic quality and integrity. We have been fortunate enough to collaborate with organisations like Instituto Cervantes, Nueva Delhi, a non-profit organisation founded by the Government of Spain & the Embassy of Spain as co-partners; Casting Bay as the second sponsor; Red Bull as a refreshments sponsor & Drama School Mumbai a
The most exciting aspect of the festival for us is having eminent Spanish Playwright, Theatre Director and Actress Paloma Pedrero here, in Delhi for the festival.

We are also organizing some allied events as part of the festival. The first one in the series is called ADDA which will a laboratory, a refuge, an audio visual gallery- where the manifestations of our conversations can come to life. It will empower a collaborative discourse, one that enriches the performers as well as the audience.
