The city will soon witness the second season of DLF Saket Konnichiwa Japan, an intensive, immersive cultural gala to celebrate the legacy of friendly relations between India and Japan. The two-day festival will bring together, on one vibrant platform, artists from Japan and aficionados from India to celebrate this confluence of cultures, to showcase lesser-known aspects of Japan and strengthen the people-to-people linkages. About Konnichiwa Japan: Any new culture is best experienced by immersing oneself wholly in it, by experiencing its people, traditions, lifestyles, food, and art firsthand. What if you cannot travel to the culture… and what if the culture came to you?
Konnichiwa Japan, literally “Hello Japan”, is being organized by Konnichiwa Japan Club in India along with Discover India Club in Japan to facilitate an ecosystem of cultural collaboration between the two nations and create a space for synergies, where language is no barrier, where the unfamiliar becomes familiar.
Some of the star attractions of the festival are sumo wrestling demonstrations, displays and tutorials in ikebana, kimono wearing, origami and calligraphy, choral singing in Japanese led by Ms Arai and her group who will be joined by students from Delhi’s Ramjas School and Ms Satomi Konnoplaying Japanese drums. At Quizcraft Global’s stimulating flash quiz sessions, visitors can test how well they know Japan and win souvenirs and keepsakes. With the Insert coin- PlayStation FIFA tournament , the most sort after gaming Tournament.
