Event Description : Creativity Art Gallery Present Acclaimed artist Binoy Varghese, Founder of Kekkeyellam Foundation presents “Green- Line Kerala Flood Relief Show”
108 artists, one gallery and plethora of artworks derived from the very soul of the artistes. Acclaimed artist Binoy Varghese, Founder of Kekkeyellam Foundation has curated this fund raising show for Kerala flood victims.
Showcasing the collection of paintings by senior, eminent and contemporary artists, the exhibition puts forth the various facets of life, nature, culture and religious thoughts. An amalgamation of artworks by over 100 artists of Indian origin from across the world, the exhibition features names like George Martin, Seema Kohli, Gopinath Subbanna, Kalam Patua, Niladri Paul, Sudeep Roy, Ramesh Gojrala amongst others. With a vision of bringing together art beyond boundaries the exhibition will be on till the 21st of October, 2018 and provide a common ground to raise the funds for Kerala flood relief.
The four day show touches upon the thought of art as a medium to raise funds for a cause close to everyone's heart. Through the show it is aimed that the much needed shelter is provided to the victims who have lost their near and dear and earning family members due to the unprecedented torrential rain over a month in August 2018 in Kerala. Each artist has donated one piece of artwork to support this cause.
"The Artists community along with me want to do our best to support the Govt. of Kerala to help the people in need to rebuild their houses and start a new life. The entire sales procedure will go to Chief Minister’s distress fund" says artist Binoy Varghese.
Niladri Paul, one of the participating artist shares "The loss was terrible for the entire country and from this exhibition we are aiming to rebuild the lives of the flood affected people in Kerala".
Artist Kalam Patua believes that "This is a great step by our artist's community to help a bit for the Kerala flood victims and this is our responsibility as a citizen of the Country to help them".
