The Long Night of Literatures (LNL) is a collaborative effort of Austria, Denmark, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Georgia, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the Delegation of The European Union to India, to celebrate the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe. On this occasion, we will enable encounters of literature enthusiasts to closely interact with the renowned authors from Europe.

The format of the event encourages the audience to listen to many authors through the course of the evening. Each author reads and chat with an audience of about around 25 people for 20 minutes. The group then moves to the next room to listen to another author. This concept allows the audience to have close interactions with the authors, enabling the audience to savour writings from across many countries
