Event Description : EXHIBITION : Sikandar Group Art Show.
Display of Artworks - Paintings, Digital Art, Installation, Photography, Sculptures, Calligraphy and Ceramics etc.
Acclaimed art curator Erum Khan needs no introduction. After the success of numerous art exhibitions, she has attained a credibility and space in curation, which she is taking to a new level with her upcoming exhibition “Sikander”. In today’s day and age, a new meaning of “Sikander” or conqueror has emerged. Originally a translation for Alexander, it is no longer a warrior plundering nations to satisfy his ego or lust for power, but a person having the will to conquer odds, any kind of negativity or evil and even to gain control over one’s own self and tame external or even internal demons, who can stake a claim to the title. Ms Erum Khan has always been acutely sensitive towards the dreams of talented artists who often get ignored in the mainstream discourse but have the potential of becoming “Sikander”s of art in times to come and who work against all odds, discouragement and negativity just to carve a niche for themselves.
