Event Description : ART EXHIBITION "Vivid Clusters" solo art show by Deepali Roongta

Vivid clusters by Deepali Roongta is about artists’ understanding about an image as an idea; a cluster of vivid thoughts endowed with energy. Deepali says that a painting is like a jigsaw puzzle. You may imagine a shape, but it may assume one that is entirely another. An artist’s mood during the day can change its contours. An artist has many different thoughts put together in one art. Those thoughts can be happy, pleasant, comfortable, because it can be adventurous, antagonistic, peculiar, maverick; it can cause offence, unease, discomfort and not just blissfulness; Deepali Roongta offers an intriguing perspective on how altered objects can create an interdisciplinary stage for idea creation and takes it to completely new level where everything is fluid everything is surreal. Deepali’s palette is very varied, having colours that change based on her inspiration and the image that she sees in her mind. Her colours are bright, which seems to come automatically and intuitively to the artist. No colour is allowed its own voice but has to find an echo in that of the artist’s. A shape, a form, a colour – any of them can decide to go wrong at any time. What comes out of this process of creation and destruction is an amalgamation of vibrant colours, pleasant thoughts, happy moments, struggles, internal conflicts, compromises. That is what you see as an artwork.

About Deepali
Deepali, who got absorbed in art during her early childhood, likes communicating through art, construing various aspects of life in a very expressive way.  Though she has her undergraduate & graduate degrees in Economics, the love of art pulled her towards Triveni Kala Sangam, where she undertook her formal training under the guidance of Shri Sanjay Roy. Her compositions are combination of natural and social realities; she also combines realistic and abstract forms to put across her ideas. She works in oil on canvas medium. Deepali has participated in several national level group shows, art competitions and had also presented a solo show at ‘India Habitat Centre, New Delhi’. Some of her paintings convey the genuine struggle about being human beyond doubt, which is her true observation as an artist that she wanted to express sincerely.Deepali’s paintings reflect her ingenuous approach to make a statement. Her works are distinctive comprising contrast colour selection and assemblage of diverse forms. Effortless forms and vivid hues combined with few subdued tones create a fresh look in each of her works; undoubtedly it is her originality and uniqueness, which is the core essence for being an artist. She has participated in several national level group shows, art competitions and presented her solo at India Habitat centre.

Deepali believes in communicating through art. Her real as well as surreal interpretation of various aspects of human life is expressive and dramatic as she creates her own world on her canvases using strange dispersal of light and shade. Her compositions mostly are amalgamation of natural and social realities; she also combined realistic and abstract forms to put across her ideas. Some of her paintings convey the genuine struggle about being human beyond doubt, which is her true observation as an artist that she wanted to express sincerely. Her love for nature reflects through natural forms and bright candid colour scheme.
