The best selling hindi novel of 2017 -18 (gandi Baat ) ,,A novel authored by Kshitiz Roy and adapted for stage by Raj Narain Dixit. At the centre of the play, "Gandi Baat", lies a boy named Golden who was a bit of a loafer, a bit crazy, whose heart was with the rapper Shaheed Aana!
Golden, for whom the entire city of Patna was his own. On the other side, a girl called Daisy. She was charming, full of curiosity, a loaded gun of confidence; old jeans but a new song.
The place of action was Delhi, where the weather was that of Anna Aandolan and the clouds of election. Daisy arrived in Delhi from Patna to study in Lady Shri Ram College, and became a pop dancer followed by Golden, mad after Daisy, who ran away to Delhi too and became a driver!
Gandi Baat is an interesting story depicting a fierce "political" romance between two "non-political"/ "apolitical" youngsters, whose privacy is interfered with equally and regularly by the city, the society and the circumstances around them, where nothing is fixed...where uncertainty is their biggest romance!
What the society labels as "Gandi Baat", is it really something bad/immoral?
