WOMAN NOT ALONE is solo performance in English by Award winning Actress Shilpa Shukla of Chak de India & BA Pass fame.
Inspired by Franca Rame and Dario Fo’s Black comedy A Woman Alone , Woman Not Alone is a monologue about a woman anonymous in a certain time and space who is as joyous as a dancing queen happy and full of life from the outside, perfectly concealing her inner world of violence & chaos . What is HER real deal?
An attempt to deconstruct the basis of disorder - witness it , accept it & empathize with it ,together, to arrive at a constructive solution for a harmonious & happy society

Conceived, Designed, Directed & Performed by Shilpa Shukla
About the performer: Shilpa Shukla is a renowned film and theatre Actor with several award winning movies & roles to her credit . Her first film Khamosh Pani directed by Sabiha Sumar ,won 16 international awards including three top awards at the Locarno Film Festival. Her portrayal Of Bindiya Naik in Shahrukh Khan Starrer Bollywood Block- buster Chak de India got her the popular awards and accolades including Stardust, Star Screen, nomination at IIFA and Filmfare . In 2013 she starred in the critically acclaimed neo- noir film BA Pass for which she received her first Filmfare for Best Actress, critics.
Theatre is her first love .An active member of Renaisstance Theatre Society, Delhi , she presents to you her first Solo Act - Woman Not Alone.
About the Group : Renaisstance Theatre Society was formed in 2003 with a mission to
impart training for theatre and cinema in a unique way that is based on self discovery, imagination and empathy through workshops. The workshops are oriented to promote
and mobilize new e!ective ideas.
