A cargo ship ‘MV Safeer’ rescues 722 Indians including women and children from war-torn Kuwait after Saddam Hussein invades it on 2 August 1990. The film is the story of the heroic evacuation carried out by the ship’s captain and 26 Indian crew members in the face of grave danger with backup help of the ship-owners, Indian Mission in Kuwait and various government agencies. It is a sailor’s saga waiting to be told…
