Event Description : ART EXHIBITION "Lifelines" A Group Art Show.
The exhibition is a mapping of the unique intersections between the four artists: Anita Anand, Alka Mathur, Punam Zutshi & Gautam Bhatia. It aims at promoting sustainable development through art and collaborations around artistic interests. In Anand's work the eye seeks its rest, not as a tourist does through photography, but as a journal writer does, in the joyous record and recall of travel and residence. For Mathur the reflective eye transforms the whirl of journeying and evanescence of events into an inner world. Zutsi uses mdf board she has chiseled to suggest patterned movement. Bhatia offers in bronze a counterpoint to the blinkered world we inhabit- people who are a background to life. They all aim to complete the picture of the world, each artist drawing upon their signature modes, their own lifelines.
