Event Description :
British Council, in partnership with Social, presents a series of 7 short films as a part of #FashionRevolutionWeek 2018. The films will profile the innovative stories of 7 practitioners across the world, including fashion designers, artists, architects and entrepreneurs. The films have been created in the spirit of the Grassroots Movement, using content produced by the practitioners themselves and directed by Kate Cox and produced by the ‘The Smalls’.

The films will provide insights into how one can become a fashion revolutionary – and how impact can change the way the supply chain works. The series of 7 short films will feature:

1. Cynthia Chamat
2. RCR Khomenko
3. Catherine & Sons
4. Victoria Villasana
5. Paraa
6. OneByMe

Additionally, 9 more short films will be screened for ‘Sustainable Fashion & Crafts’ – showcasing fashion production across various countries and how creative briefs, new approaches to production and fashion systems can generate economic opportunities for female textile artisans.

These films are:

2. Crafting Futures: Mexico
3. Crafting Futures: India (5 short films)
