Event Description : "Kshitij Jalori" A Label Showcasing Indian Textiles and Ensembles
Kshitij Jalori is delighted to announce the launch of his label – KSHITIJ JALORI, with the mounting of a solo exhibition celebrating the magnificence of Indian weaves and revival of traditional craftsmanship. The show is an endeavor to showcase the statement iconic Benarasi textiles with incremental reductionist approach.
The designer’s works focuses on the quintessential segments - art and design while emphasizing on precise craftsmanship with intricate design details, weaves and fabric structures.
The brand works with Indian Textiles, beginning with the Benares Sector, and aims at delivering a global vision and appeal to Indian Textiles by converting these into beautifully stitched modern silhouettes and ensembles. Each piece possesses minimal trims, clean aesthetics and are very comfortable to wear with well worked out details such as pockets and sleeves. The idea is to transform the timeless traditional handloom textiles into sophisticated, modern outfits while taking cues from our rich cultural heritage and making it more appealing to the millennial.
The two-day exhibition will highlight three collections - Coromandel Colony, Pakhi Badi and Gul Bulbul. Each collection pays tribute to the ancient traditional textiles and presents them in new, eclectic ways. Sprawling over 2500 Sq. Ft. with 23 glass showcases, the designer extends an experiential appeal to the viewers and hopes to set an innovative benchmark for contemporary designs.
