Event Description :
ART EXHIBITION "Collectively Independent 2018" group show of paintings & sculptures

Exploring the delicate threads of affinity between creativity and its versatile approach towards the realistic world in diverse emotions, this exhibition is made up of constructive styles by different artists through different mediums. Though working in disparate styles and genres, these artists remain deeply engaged with their shared experiences of movement, Influences, Modernity, and 21st Century life.

Collectively Independent––refers to the fact that the exhibition itself is an exciting look at some of our genius talents. There is a (somewhat) recognisable 'movement'  in  Ruchi Chadha’s works,  Ruchi shows reflections in moving water depicting what we wish to reflect in our lives,  while Gaurav likes creating compelling stories on canvas with vivid colours, even after an attack of optical neuritis in 2009, which left him with low vision and loss of colour in his right eye,  his sense of colour creates rich tones on canvas which depict passion and romance.

Amit Srivastava, Amita Vyas,  Bharti Verma, Bheem Malhotra, Gaurav Chawla, Kamal Devnath, Kamini Nayyar, Khushboo Chatterjee, Manan Negi, Mini Negi, Monica Wadhwa, Monisa Das, Nanda Gupta, Neeta Singh, Praveen Verma and many more.

One of India's emerging contemporary artist, Gaurav Chawla began as a self-taught artist and his journey into the world of art is visible in his passion to paint, explore and express. His path to creativity influenced by contemporary art forms and culture in a style is largely his own. Inspired by life, without any formal training, he continued to experiment with various mediums. With more than 40 successful shows of his work to his credit including the reputed Visual Arts Gallery, AIFACS, India Art Festival, Roerich Museum and Lalit Kala Academy.

"Everything is illuminated in the light of the past. It is always along the side of us. On the inside looking out." Gaurav Quotes.

Ruchi Chadha has graduated from College of Arts, Delhi (B. F. A),1993. She has trained under prominent artists like Niren Sen, Paramjit Singh, Subrato Kundu, Bilash Bose, S.N Lahiri. Learning a lot under their guidance, gradually she has developed my own style. It's been more than two decades that she has been painting.

She says "Art is very important in life for relieving oneself and the vibrancy of colour tones, textures and various other mediums help a person to grow further in life deepening a thought process and to relieve oneself from the daily challenges one faces".
